Welcome!
The Wilson Carlile Centre is located in the heart of Sheffield City Centre, we have a range of conference facilities, an on-site café and accommodation as well as being the national office for our charity Church Army.
We have a variety of conference rooms catering from 1-100 people. The ground floor conference room can be used for several different events to suit your requirements, this can be used as 3 separate spaces or as one large space. We have a further 4 meeting rooms upstairs which can be accessed by lift or stairs as well as our own chapel which can be used for either prayer or a conference space for up to 100 people theatre style set up.
All of our conference/meeting rooms have either a screen or a projector which can be connected to a laptop, they also have white boards, and we can provide flipcharts if needed.
We offer refreshments and catering from our on-site café, for conferences and events. The café is open to the public between 8am-2pm Monday – Friday. The café serves breakfast until 11.30am and then a range of options for lunch from cold sandwiches, salads, toasties, hot wraps with chips, homemade cake and much more.
Our accommodation consists of 30 ensuite bedrooms and also a 3-bedroom apartment (1 double room and 2 twin rooms, a shared bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and living room area) We serve a continental buffet breakfast in the café each morning for accommodation guests with toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice and tea/coffee.
We have 2 outside spaces which are great for a relaxing morning coffee, a drinks reception for your event, a bite to eat at lunchtime or even just some fresh air over your break.
Did you know by booking with us or using our café your money is going towards our charity projects, these include Ther Marylebone Project in London, which is the largest women’s hostel in the UK and offers 40,000 bed nights a year with 112 bedrooms. The Amber Project in Cardiff supports young people between 14-25 years old who have experienced self-harm. Our centres of mission located around the UK are local community projects that build relationships, support those living in poverty, and grow creative, accessible church communities. Each centre of mission looks different. They are shaped entirely by the needs of their area; activities, initiatives, and outreach programs vary depending on the context.
